Double bass & accordion
Davide Galaverna having attained the double-bass diploma at the A. Boito conservatoire in Parma, furthered his study with professors G. Karr and W. Guttler, and with professor Franco Petracchi at the Accademia Chigiana.
From 1991 to 1996, he collaborated with the orchestra of "I Pomeriggi Musicali" of Milan, the orchestra of the Arena di Verona, the orchestra of the Swiss-Italiana of Lugano, and as 1st double-bass with the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra.
Flanking alongside his study of the double bass was also his study of the accordion. With that latter instrument, he attained important recognition at various international competitions including 3rd prizes at both the City of Vercelli International Competition (1990) and the City of Castell'Arquato International Chamber Music Competition (1988).
He collaborated with the Veneto Soloists conducted by Claudio Scimone and with the Italian Chamber Orchestra conducted by Salvatore Accardo.
He is professor of the "Settimane Musicale" of Montedoro, since 1998, and 1st double-bass of the orchestra of Teatro Massimo Bellini of Catania.
